Chuck Albertson Posted April 9, 2018 Share #1 Â Posted April 9, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't use the GPS on the camera all that often, but since I upgraded the firmware to v. 3.1 it doesn't appear to be writing the GPS coordinates to the EXIF data. I made sure the GPS was locked on when I shot the pictures, and the satellite icon shows in the margins of the playback view, but the coordinates aren't being imported with the pictures into Lightroom. Anybody else experience this?

Chuck Albertson Posted August 31, 2018 Author Share #4 Â Posted August 31, 2018 Just to close the loop on this, I finally sorted out what happened. It wasn't the camera or the firmware, but was instead self-inflicted by a metadata import pre-set I started using in LR around the time FW 3.1 was released. Now reimporting all those images to LR that GPS coordinates are worth bothering over.
