canpekdemir Posted April 6, 2018 Share #1 Posted April 6, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I have my Leica M9 for around 9 years now and it has been sensor replaced 1,5 years ago. For the last week I am having this strange problem with shutter release. In Standart mode it doesn't exposure lock anymore. In Soft mode it totally doesn't work. In Discreet mode it works as required. I have looked at the service menu and tested the release button and it shows all three levels of it working. I removed /charged the battery, changed the SD card and i am not in Snapshot profile. Still no luck to exposure lock mode to work, which used to work for years. I wonder anybody have this kind of a problem before. I sent a mail to Leica Repair, no reply yet. Thanks a lot can

We found out we were using soft release screw ins which were touching the half way point in the Camera. Taking them out solved our problem. Now I put it back in loose with a little glue on the threads. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dan Bachmann Posted April 10, 2018 Share #5 Posted April 10, 2018 Which brand? No brand/China/eBay. We think the threads have different depths on different cameras. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It had nothing to do with soft release buttons, since I don't use them. I complained about it and Leica Wetzlar repaired it for free. It didn't cost me a penny....
