Advertisement Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Hi Riley, Take a look here Digilux 3 price decrease...... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
XD7 Posted July 6, 2007 Share #22 Â Posted July 6, 2007 Based on the prices at B&H a Lumix L1 is $1299.95 and a Digilux 3 is $1,800 after the rebate. The 14-50mm f/2.8-3.5 Leica D Vario-Elmarit is $949.95, which makes the L1 body worth $350 and the Digilux 3 body worth $850.05. Â So $500 for a three-year warranty, Photoshop Elements, which a loyal Leica user will already have from their previous purchase, and the tweaked firmware. Â A Mack Three-Year Extended International Warranty is quoted at $129.95. Â Makes you think, doesn't it, with respect to getting value for money? chrisbo Posted July 6, 2007 Share #23 Â Posted July 6, 2007 I see B&H have now changed the pricing to reveal the $699 rebate. I guess someone wasn't paying attention when they first posted the price as $1,800. Â It's the B & H sites error. I checked last night and the reduction based on the customer loyalty discount was not listed with the $1,800.00 Digilux III. This morning the web-site had been altered to show the discount was a result of the customer loyalty discount from Leica.
dogberry Posted July 6, 2007 Share #24 Â Posted July 6, 2007 I'm confused ... the listed price at BH is now $3,228.95 BEFORE the Leica Loyalty discount. They then show the $699 loyalty rebate for Leica customers giving a final AFTER REBATE price of $2,529.95! Â So what happened to the $1800 deal that Leica were promising? Anybody smell fish? dogberry Posted July 6, 2007 Share #25 Â Posted July 6, 2007 Ooops! I'm sorry ... I should have looked further down the BH page. The higher price I saw is for some sort of kit. The price quoted for the Digilux 3 is indeed $1800 after the loyalty rebate.
