I will spend some time in Tokyo and have a few questions. On YouTube I saw that there are shops which are great for buying and browsing used Leica stuff.

Do you know where I can find these shops?

Moreover I am looking for photography books and (art) magazines. Do you have any idea where to find them in Tokyo. I checked normal big bookstores but didn’t find much.

Finally I would be very happy to find photography related galleries and museums. Since Tokyo is huge I guess you just have to know where to look.

Any help is very much appreciated! Thank you.

Though I can't help you with your things Leica/magazines/books in Tokyo, I can help you with at least some restaurant and other suggestions.  Go to our site (www.barbara-and-stu.com) and click on Trip Notes.  Scroll to Asia, and then click on Japan.

We knew we'd like Japan.  We were most pleasantly surprised to find we loved Japan and will return.

I think the main ones are in Ginza.

Are these the videos you saw....

In the Matt Granger vid he actually walks you through the streets and tells you where the shops are

Today I went to Map Camera. And this store is amazing for Leica. They have new stuff and lots of older too. Titanium editions, M60, Safaris you name it. Great tip.

I went to other places too which were mentioned in the videos. Also good but less Leica cameras and lenses.

Anyway Japan is probably the best country in the world to get camera gear. In stores like Yodobashi or Big Camera they sell tons of cameras, lenses, bags and all the other stuff.

In Tokyo, BIC Camera in the Yurakucho district (beside Ginza & the elevated bullet train rail line), Yodobashi Camera in the Shinjuku district, MAP Camera in Shinjuku, and also just walk about the Ginza area.  Also look for Lemon Camera (yes, Lemon). There are 2-3 other camera stores that sell Leica in Ginza; one around the corner from Nikon House.
