thegeenster Posted February 23, 2018 Share #1  Posted February 23, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone,  I'm looking to get into Leicas, and someone offered me a really great deal on a M3. Only issue is what he called a "dim finder". Everything else apparently works fine.  Is this a major issue? Should I stay away from it?  Thanks!  Welcome, dear visitor! normclarke Posted February 24, 2018 Share #2 Â Posted February 24, 2018 I'm afraid it's an expensive fix but not impossible. Malcolm Taylor in the U.K. can do this, i'm sure people in the U.S. would also undertake the rebuild. Â Best, Â normclarke.
earleygallery Posted February 24, 2018 Share #3 Â Posted February 24, 2018 If the price is low enough to cover a CLA or finder repair then go for it. Otherwise look for another, they're not rare.
Ko.Fe. Posted February 25, 2018 Share #4 Â Posted February 25, 2018 Find another Leica, compare it to this M3 VF. My M3 VF was also less bright comparing to others M I have, but it wasn't something as I would call as the problem.
