Panasonic LC-1 good news - sensor repair

I just got a package 10 minutes ago.

 

I was my Panasonic LC-1 I had sent for repair in November 2006 to the Panasonic Denmark repair centre.

 

The papers read:

"Examined and error found (sensor dead)

Price given to client and accepted.

Client says there should be a guarantee at the sensor. Panasonic Nordic says there is not.

In June a message arrives from panasonic that this error is in fact included by guarantee."

 

I guess that means Leica and Panasonic are now agreeing on this error (which as far as I'm informed is Sony's error).

 

I got my 'extra D2' back today and it works. It's great.

 

I have to cover Tall Ships Race the next few days, which means lots of, sailing, salty water (and rain too according to the forecast), lots of possibilities to get a camera or two ruined ;-))))
