Okay, so I now have a CL + the adapter L on the way, and in addition to my M lenses, which I know I can use on it, I was digging through some aged gear and discovered a couple of Canonflex R lenses, including a 100mm f2.  This could be interesting, if an FD to M adapter were to work.  I recall the diaphragm actuating pins on the Canonflex lens don't line up and would damage a Canon FL or FD mount camera, but some fit.  Does anyone have any idea whether this would work on the CL with an FD-M adapter stacked with the L adapter?

The other lens I haven't located yet, but know I never sold--it's been stored...a while...is an 83mm f1.9 Takumar preset.  It was never great wide open, but portraits?  Have to visit the storage unit [climate controlled].

This could be fun.  What other various and sundry reclamation projects have others been trying?

Canonflex had a breech lock mount with lenses that apparently will work with FD mount, but diaphragm pins won’t line up. With a preset lens, for those seasoned photographers who remember them, it should work. My CL has been held up by FEDEX in mid country due to weahter, but should arrive tomorrow and this will be something to explore. The Canon lenses have focus and diaphragm rings that are calibrated and rotate in the same direction as Leica lenses, unlike Nikon, so this won’t necessitate adaptation in the way Nikon (as well as Pentax and some earlier v2 M-mount 90 Summicrons).

Looks like a beast to hold (the camera with Fast Nikon tele mounted, not the child, who is cute). I looked at a Nikon AI-S 135mm f2, but Nikon focus and aperture are opposite in direction from my manual Leica lenses, so I was attracted to the Canon FD gear. Great subject isolation with this fast medium tele.
