Tom Barry Posted February 12, 2018 Share #1 Â Posted February 12, 2018 Advertisement (gone after registration) A large flight of waxies stopped at our winter-bare pecan tree this morning. They were feeding on the berries on the nearby yaupon holly tree. This shot shows fewer than a quarter of the birds on the tree. FZ1000. newnew Posted February 13, 2018 Share #2 Â Posted February 13, 2018 Tom you have a great knowledge of all the names of the bird species. I am really impressed by the pictures and the distinction between all these.
Tom Barry Posted February 13, 2018 Author Share #3 Â Posted February 13, 2018 Thanks for the kind words, Ali. Texas has an astonishing variety of year-round and migrating birds. I use a variety of resources to pin down identities of those I am not sure of. I'm a little OCD and that helps drive me to find out things (and drive my wife up the wall).
