A large flight of waxies stopped at our winter-bare pecan tree this morning. They were feeding on the berries on the nearby yaupon holly tree. This shot shows fewer than a quarter of the birds on the tree. FZ1000.

Thanks for the kind words, Ali. Texas has an astonishing variety of year-round and migrating birds. I use a variety of resources to pin down identities of those I am not sure of. I'm a little OCD and that helps drive me to find out things (and drive my wife up the wall).
