New Englander here--a part of the country that has gotten some record cold temps this winter, and with old hands that don't have the world's best circulation.

My fav winter exercise is a 3 mile power walk along some beautiful sea scapes that are very, very cold. Heavy mittens help but completely interfere with photography. Has anyone solved this problem (besides just quickly on and off of the gloves)? thanks!

Wow, those look incredible. Not cheap (but neither is a Leica!). And not crazy that they cost 1 euro less than free shipping :-). very high on my wish list. And I used to visit friends in the Twin Cities in the winter, so I do yield to your fortitude! thanks so much.

I use these

they are brilliant and Vallerett stand behind them (I lost one glove and they replaced it free!). Of course they are limited to 'glove' conditions - If you need giant down mittens neither these nor any other glove will do. ;-)

I bought these for my brother in law for Christmas.  He, too, gets out in the elements, and here in St Paul, MN, we truly know what winter weather can do to one's camera manipulating fingers.

Does the zip protrude much ?  Also when the main flap is flipped back, does the edge of zip cause concerns ?

Wondering if it could scratch the camera.

Thanks :)

Minigill,

My memory says that the zipper system is quite special/different.  Very fine teeth that are closely covered with the very soft leather material.  I cannot imagine any potential camera scratching.  I found an awkwardness in zipping while wearing them.  I imagined it as being new, and I was doing it while the thumb was inside.  The finger tips are supposed to be device useable.
