Advertisement (gone after registration)

I’ve had my silver Q since November, and now realize that I haven’t done anything to register it with Leica. The guarantee conditions require an authorized dealer signature in the guarantee card booklet. I bought it from B&H, via mail order. Are people actually going back for a signature to validate the guarantee? What’s the process for obtaining a repair? I’m not having a problem, but want to be prepared. Thanks

You should be able to register the camera for warranty purposes on the Leica website - look for the link in the booklet. I bought from a local dealer, but they didn't sign anything, and I registered the purchase online. I think you'll have to register for an account (make a username and password) on the website to do this.

For many consumer items nowadays, your receipt is your warranty.

I make sure to get my receipt on sellers letter head, noting serial numbers.

In case of ebay, I've used paypal, and order records as receips/warranty.

Of course register any Leica product with Leica, even if is "preloved".
