I would put AF speed and accuracy in low light as my top wish for improvement for a SL2. Second, a much faster sensor and processor.

A better, more robust flash system than what's currently available. I'm pretty happy with manual flash even with in relatively fast events but TTL is automatics. That's what I would like when I'm tired. I would like quick manual overrides (dials) over flash power, zoom angle & colour correction to be built into the flash - say 2600K - 8000K. Built-in color correction on board a flash is probably too much to ask for but it's really helpful for events and even commercial jobs when you need to catch something unexpected.

I would say HSS but I prefer to have a set of leaf shutter lenses as I think that's actually the right solution for syncing at high speeds. Of course preferably leaf shutter on a 24-90 which may well be impossible in a zoom lens.

I would like to see some boutique sensor offerings from Leica. Sensors that may not appeal to the general public or not easily delivered for mass production. High ISO baseline of ISO 800 with no LENR for the really low light situations. Or global shutter for video. Or True 16 bit files for a studio version.

I would not mind using the current SL body for these sort of specialised workflows. Maybe they can call them by special names, SL owl for a low light performing sensor version.
