Advertisement Posted December 31, 2017 Posted December 31, 2017 Hi appleman, Take a look here Metering zones. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
thighslapper Posted December 31, 2017 Share #2  Posted December 31, 2017 Centre-weighted most of the time with the 24-90 or w/a lenses.  Spot Metering with the 90-280 or long manual lenses.  Never been a fan of multi-field as for years I have tended to meter/focus and lock on the bit I'm interested in the re-compose and shoot..... and old habits die hard
ramarren Posted January 3, 2018 Share #3 Â Posted January 3, 2018 It depends on the scene is working on. For most average scenes, CW or Matrix work fine, depending on whether I'm metering manually or using AE. For more difficult lighting, I go to spot pattern.
scott kirkpatrick Posted January 3, 2018 Share #4  Posted January 3, 2018 Center-weighted or spot metering for me. I don't like surprises. With exposure simulation on in PASM, I have ample warning when things are getting dark.
