Clactonian Posted December 20, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 20, 2017 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) My SL has suddenly started to produce corrupted DNG files, see cropped image below. I have searched this website and noted a similar problem on a Q but not the SL which turned out to be a card reader problem. I've re-formatted the cards, tried new cards, reset the camera and shot tethered, all with the same results. Am I to assume it is a sensor problem? Looking back at my files I note that it started as an intermittent issue half way through a shoot before becoming a persistent problem. Welcome, dear visitor! Timkr Posted December 20, 2017 Share #2 Posted December 20, 2017 I had the exact same issue on one of my SLs. It started showing up in a few images out of a hundred and progressed to every image. It’s the sensor. I contacted Wetzlar and shared some of the files; they confirmed it’s a sensor issue and let me know it needs to be sent in. It’s still sittingvatvleica Miami waiting to be shipped over. Sorry for the bad news.

Bummer, I feel for you. It wouldn't hurt to ask your dealer for a loaner.
Timkr Posted December 20, 2017 Share #6 Posted December 20, 2017 mine had less than 800 clicks on it. Its been with Leica Miami going on 3 weeks. I'm assuming that, at this point, even if they ship i today, it will be January before they look at it.
Clactonian Posted December 21, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted December 21, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bummer, I feel for you. It wouldn't hurt to ask your dealer for a loaner. I'll use my Nikon D750 in the mean time, but mind you that has been recalled twice including an advisory replacement shutter.
