Couple of days ago I found myself in video mode – had no idea how I got there, or more importantly, how to escape, but phoned Leica Mayfair and helpful chap talked me through this one. Then I must unknowingly have made some other adjustment yesterday and a string of pics were all 1/250s regardless of f-stop and lighting conditions. Sorted that one out myself now.

Maybe there could be a FAQs/help thread?

I assume that you are in "S"-Mode. 

Press the left button on the top and then use the dial to switch to "A" or "P" or whatever you prefer.

I had accidentally triggered the video mode - by swiping to the right direction on the touchscreen when i was in shooting mode.

i was reviewing my photos in the play mode but might have got out unitentionally.

 

I was lost for quite some time trying to find how to get out of video, till i recall it is triggered by my touchscreen.

So i just swipe left direction and problem resolved.

 

Fortunately i did not missed any valuable moment of photo taking as i was still exploring with the CL.
