retarded EVF w non-Leica M2L adatper

I have used a non-Leica M to T adapter since I have the T. It works fine except it could feel loose with Summicron 50mm. Other M lenses and ZM are fine.

When I use the same adapter on SL, the first time it seemed the SL tries to updated the firmware.  

Now when I use it with any M lenses, the SL EVF is very retarded.

Assuming you don't have the Novoflex but another adapter, the Leica model is the one to buy, the Novoflex lacked functionality on my T and I assume on the SL also.  I sent my Novoflex back, they're  normally great adapters but the Leica model functions properly and will likely be updated for future lens/bodies.

I don't know why, but any adapter without electronic communication would have the same problem. 

It's not a problem for Leica t though.

I have the Hawks macro adaptors for M and R to SL. They both work fine and viewfinder is gifted, not retarded.

anyway, what do you mean the evf is retarded? do you mean like the evf is blacked out?
