darylgo Posted December 6, 2017 Share #21 Posted December 6, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Fun comments, however I really like it. Are there no red cars or colorful houses, clothes, shoes, hats, bags, sunrises, plants, red frogs, other animals, etc etc etc?
Advertisement Posted December 6, 2017 Posted December 6, 2017 Hi darylgo, Take a look here Most colourful Leica ever?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Paulus Posted December 6, 2017 Share #22 Posted December 6, 2017 I'll wait for the phosphorizing yellow edition, I think... Did you buy the phosphorising green Billingham L2 bag last black friday? They really were cheap! . I wonder why bags get cheaper after a while. Would the same apply for leica cameras.
terrycym Posted December 9, 2017 Share #23 Posted December 9, 2017 I had to use a manual white balance to counteract the colour cast
epand56 Posted December 10, 2017 Share #24 Posted December 10, 2017 This is the model for people that haven't yet experienced their camera being stolen. The bright red is just to tell thieves "THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE LEICA, PLEASE HELP YOURSELF!"
Exodies Posted December 10, 2017 Share #25 Posted December 10, 2017 I think thieves seize opportunities rather than target particular products.
Wayne Posted December 14, 2017 Share #26 Posted December 14, 2017 (edited) What camera bag would be best for my new, red M typ 262? Edited December 14, 2017 by Wayne
Herr Barnack Posted December 14, 2017 Share #27 Posted December 14, 2017 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Here you go: https://leicarumors.com/?p=50116 I'll just turn around and look somewhere else. What a vomit inducing collection of disfigured M cameras! Just because something can be done is no indication that it should be done. Paulus Posted December 14, 2017 Share #28 Posted December 14, 2017 I think thieves seize opportunities rather than target particular products. Tell this to the 7 Range Rover Evoque owners in mijn neighbourhood...( one very nice red one )

terrycym Posted December 15, 2017 Share #30 Posted December 15, 2017 What camera bag would be best for my new, red M typ 262? Krug Posted December 15, 2017 Share #31 Posted December 15, 2017 As I was opening the email that informed me about - and illustrated - this new red edition my wife was passing the computer:- She: "That on earth is that?" Me: " A new Leica" She: "It is beyond vulgar" In a nutshell. methinks.
Peter H Posted December 15, 2017 Share #32 Posted December 15, 2017 I usually hesitate to suggest giving the money to charity as a better alternative because I don't like presuming to tell other people what to do with their money (except when it comes to paying their fair share of taxes!) but in this case I'll make an exception. Krug Posted December 15, 2017 Share #33 Posted December 15, 2017 Having thought on my wife's comment my mind went to the saying often attributed to H L Mencken or P J Barnum - which (sadly very appropriately) I first heard from a colleague director of a British national newspaper company - "Nobody ever lost money underestimating public taste" - and I suppose that maybe this is an inevitable but acceptable price for Leica's continuing production of (sometimes) excellent cameras and superb glass ! ? ! wizard Posted December 15, 2017 Share #34 Posted December 15, 2017 Well, at least the red dot doesn't stand out so much on this one. How about another one in Kermit the frog green? For those who want to better camouflage when shooting out in the woods ... . Andy

jdlaing Posted December 15, 2017 Share #37 Posted December 15, 2017 Needs a black dot. Why? So it’s not noticeable?
dabrez Posted December 16, 2017 Share #38 Posted December 16, 2017 Leica Marketing Department is slipping. They could have added a Ferrari logo, doubled the price and had an additional market. What self respecting Ferrari owner would take a photo of their premium sports car with anything less.
keithlaban.co.uk Posted December 17, 2017 Share #39 Posted December 17, 2017 Why? So it’s not noticeable? No, so it sticks out like a sore thumb blackhead.
Kwesi Posted December 17, 2017 Share #40 Posted December 17, 2017 https://leicarumors.com/2017/12/01/coming-soon-leica-m-typ-262-red-anodized-aluminum-limited-edition-camera.aspx/ Leica is evidently thinking of creative ways to dispose of their remaining pre-M10 stock. This one should be a nice match for my Kravitz special edition. This one has me scratching my head, I mean with the countless special edition 24X cameras this can't really be expected to appreciate in value. I'm sure Leica doesn't expect anyone to go out on the street to soot with this in broad daylight... I guess that leaves the occasional dinner party, but then wouldn't a red summilux be a better option? This is beyond me, maybe a good therapist can help me figure this out.
