fredbeard Posted December 1, 2017 Share #1 Posted December 1, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello, I just bought an M7 and I cannot trigger in aperture priority mode. No problem with other shutter speed. I tried with different light and.. nothing. Also I don't see the shutter speed in the viewfinder. When I set in On, I see my ASA (400) during 2 sec and after there is nothing. I changed the batteries but it didn't change anything. As anyone had the same problem ? Thanks for you answer :-)
Advertisement Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Hi fredbeard, Take a look here M7 no trigger in Auto mode and no shutter speed in the viewfinder. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Keith (M) Posted December 2, 2017 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2017 When you select a shutter speed, do you see a red triangle in the VF when you half-press the shutter button?
fredbeard Posted December 2, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted December 2, 2017 Hello Keith, Yes when I select a shutter speed I see my exposure. And I see it too when I select Auto but in Auto it's not possible to take a picture.
Keith (M) Posted December 2, 2017 Share #4 Posted December 2, 2017 Hmm, it almost sounds as if some form of interlock is not being withdrawn - but I do not know enough about the M7's internals to go beyond such a guess! New or used? Probably best to arrange its return for service/rectification (unless the forum gurus can come up with a solution!).
fredbeard Posted December 3, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted December 3, 2017 Used bought on ebay. I think I'll try to send it back for refund :-(
wattsy Posted December 3, 2017 Share #6 Posted December 3, 2017 Used bought on ebay. I think I'll try to send it back for refund :-( That may be the best course of action. It's worth noting that if you do send the camera back to Wetzlar, they will insist on giving the camera a full service at a cost of nearly £800 as part of any attempt to repair the camera.
