DS1969 Posted November 24, 2017 Share #21 Posted November 24, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) This body with the fix X 113 lens - now that would satisfy me, I will pass on this as do not want interchangeable lenses.
Advertisement Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 Hi DS1969, Take a look here Poll: How to describe best the Leica CL…. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
vicibox Posted November 24, 2017 Share #22 Posted November 24, 2017 If you compare the new Leica CL to the current Leica product range, different comparisons come to mind: Leica Q or Leica X w/ interchangeable lenses Leica SL, compact style Leica TL2 w/ viewfinder Leica M, modern version Which one describes the CL best? None of the fits? Looking forward to your suggestions! Sorry but I think Leica have lost their way here, its like an ugly X2 with the top plate full of rubbish; my X113 is stunningly pretty, my T looks like an art exhibit, the CL looks like a cheap plastic Lomo clone, I wouldnt buy one - sigh
fastcar888 Posted November 24, 2017 Share #23 Posted November 24, 2017 Approaching 2018, in my judgment, it makes little sense to purchase anything other than full frame camera. There is a significant difference between the APS-C and full frame. Although I do not view price as an issue, I do expect value. That includes fully auto German made lenses that are uniquely special and quintessentially Leica. The 18mm to 56mm with the camera is $4,000 US. Leica can do better. GarySHough Posted November 24, 2017 Share #26 Posted November 24, 2017 I have the T, which had a lot if drawbacks and way too many options. The TL2 was to simplify this for a guy used to using Lieca film and digital M's, so I just last month purchased the TL2. I haven't used it so will return the TL2 for the CL. steve70 Posted November 24, 2017 Share #27 Posted November 24, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anybody know if the new CL will accept M lenses? Was not quite sure from what I read. Have lots of M lenses so I thought that it might make a great camera to supplement my M10 & M246 and replace my D-Lux; not sure.
JPP1 Posted November 24, 2017 Share #28 Posted November 24, 2017 All L-mount bodies (SL/TL/CL) accept M and R lenses with the help of an adapter.
Guest Posted November 24, 2017 Share #29 Posted November 24, 2017 The lack of a full frame sensor rules out the Q/SL answers, just leaving the TL2 and X as choices.
tritentrue Posted November 24, 2017 Share #30 Posted November 24, 2017 The industry-leading APS-C imaging capabilities of the TL2, in a classic form factor--a magnificent instrument for making great photographs.
