From this afternoon in a damp, cloudy Northern France.

 

I waited for ages to get a shot of the bridge with no tourists on it. It didn't happen this time. I'm sure Monet never had this problem. Anyhow, after a while this boat appeared. I still think it would be a better shot without the people on the bridge, but I decided not to Photoshop them out.

Yes, too bad about the people. Other than that, this is superb. I feel cropping is NOT the answer since the bridge greatly adds to the scene even though it is so distant. When we can, we frequntly get up quite early to get photos of places with far less chance of having people in the photos. Of course, weather and itinerary must cooperate.
