stunsworth Posted June 29, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 29, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) From this afternoon in a damp, cloudy Northern France. I waited for ages to get a shot of the bridge with no tourists on it. It didn't happen this time. I'm sure Monet never had this problem. Anyhow, after a while this boat appeared. I still think it would be a better shot without the people on the bridge, but I decided not to Photoshop them out. Advertisement Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Hi stunsworth, Take a look here Giverny, water lillies. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
azzo Posted June 29, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 29, 2007 Excellent, IMHO. A real nice one Steve. Azzo.
Photoskeptic Posted June 29, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 29, 2007 Looks like you had pretty poor light, also. Many of us know the exasperation of waiting for people to get the heck out of the way of a good shot. Steve, you could crop them out and still have a nice shot. stuny Posted June 29, 2007 Share #4 Posted June 29, 2007 Steve - Yes, too bad about the people. Other than that, this is superb. I feel cropping is NOT the answer since the bridge greatly adds to the scene even though it is so distant. When we can, we frequntly get up quite early to get photos of places with far less chance of having people in the photos. Of course, weather and itinerary must cooperate. elansprint72 Posted June 29, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 29, 2007 This is way too sharp; next time smear your lens with vaseline.
Dirk Van der Herten Posted July 1, 2007 Share #6 Posted July 1, 2007 You've caught the atmosphere of the Giverny garden very well. The people in the background aren't disturbing at all. Dirk
