Sunnyca Posted October 20, 2017 Share #1 Posted October 20, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) New to this forum. Newbie to the Leica Q. I set everything to auto. When I take a picture, the camera takes multiple pictures with different exposures. It is on AFs. Is this normal???
Advertisement Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Hi Sunnyca, Take a look here Multiple shots with one push of the shuttle button. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
matlep Posted October 20, 2017 Share #2 Posted October 20, 2017 You have activated the exposure stacking function in the menu. Just deactivate it and you will be sorted.
HighlandK Posted October 20, 2017 Share #3 Posted October 20, 2017 \it's actually called 'Exposure bracketing'. Fifth item down in the menu. Set it to zero. When you need the function it is extremely useful - but when you don't clearly not very useful
Sunnyca Posted October 20, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted October 20, 2017 Thank you both for the reply! I was up all night trying to figure this out and was planning to go to the Leica store this morning. Not sure how I activate the exposure bracketing. Again many thanks to both of you for your help! Leica Guy Posted October 20, 2017 Share #5 Posted October 20, 2017 You might also discover someday that the flash attached to the hot shoe won’t work. If you’re in Exposure Bracketing it’s disabled. I’ve scratched my head over that one several times when using my SF-40! Good to know. LOVE the Q.
super_claret Posted April 1, 2020 Share #6 Posted April 1, 2020 I can’t seem to get exposure bracketing to work the way I want it. When I set it to exposure bracketing and press the shutter, it only shoots one image. I want to be able to shoot 3 images in succession, as quickly as possible. Is there a way to do this? I can’t get mine to not shoot three photos when in bracketing mode. What are your settings? Edited April 1, 2020 by Leica Guy
super_claret Posted April 2, 2020 Share #8 Posted April 2, 2020 I'm using aperture priority and auto ISO. When I change the drive mode to exposure bracketing the camera will take 3 exposures but not in rapid succession, I have to press the shutter 3 times. I must be doing something wrong but can't for the life of me work out what it is. Also, I've noticed that when using the Fotos app as a remote, the exp bracketing doesn't work at all. If I press the shutter 3 times, I just get 3 identical exposures. So frustrated by this. I'd appreciate any help.
super_claret Posted April 2, 2020 Share #9 Posted April 2, 2020 Solved it! The solution was to turn on the auto setting in Exposure Bracketing menu. I read the manual step by step and it doesn't say a thing about the auto setting but by default (after FW2.0 update at least), it's set to off. Anyway, I'm a happy bunny now :-)

TDIEP Posted May 24, 2021 Share #11 Posted May 24, 2021 My D-Lux 7 exposure bracketing is OFF but it still saved 2 pics with different light tones. For Leica Guy: where is the auto setting for Exposure Bracketing? I couldn't find any thing in mine that relates to auto setting. Anyone has any hint? Thanks,
