Both lovely. The painting effect is perfect on this image! Your own or pre-set?

Thank you for your kind comment. The painting effect was achieved by a painting software with very nuch possibilities  presets and possibilities to modify them   in very many ways. The name of it is Alien Skin  Snap Art 3. This is the version, which I own since a couple of years. I do not know, if there wists a newer one.

Still another wild orchid (no either idea which) spotted in a fogotten corner of my garden. Quite similar to these we have in a pot, and also illustrated.

A surprise this morning : these nice cactea we have for years had never produced a flower. They are very small, but their grouping offer a nice yellow spot, doesn't it?

The real ferns are so-called spore plants. They do not form flowers, fruits or seeds. But sometimes the spores appear as if they were flowers. For example, the royal fern creates numerous spore capsules that are reminiscent of flowers.

Ref #1181, have since identified it as a Common Marsh Orchid.  Went back to the nature reserve this morning with my D-Lux 7 and spotted this Pyramidal Orchid.
