scroy Posted September 19, 2017 Share #1  Posted September 19, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) The lens used in the picture was the APO-Vario-Elmarit-SL 90-280mm.  I put it on the TL2 to get a bit of extra reach with the APS-C crop factor. Shot was at 1/8000s and continuous drive.  It almost looks like a rolling shutter, is it? I'm seeing this on a few different images.  Definitely more than a little annoying.  Welcome, dear visitor! LocalHero1953 Posted September 19, 2017 Share #2 Â Posted September 19, 2017 Rolling shutter is exactly what it is. Even at 1/8000s, that exposure only applies pixel row by row. It takes perhaps 1/30s to read all rows. Long enough for this to happen.
scott kirkpatrick Posted September 22, 2017 Share #3 Â Posted September 22, 2017 I like the picture. Â The ball is caught in flight, and the distortions show the speed involved.
