If the SL is not selling well one reason could be the lack of long lenses and converters … i.e. longer than 280mm. And none hinted at on the SL roadmap.

The SL system deserves better.

All that and the fact that so many Leica M Users are traditionalists who think that focusing by rangefinder is a transcendental experience. My feeling is that if TechArt or Leica itself ever produces a user friendly M-L AF adapter, sales of the camera will soar at the expense of the M. The siren call of autofocus will be hard for many to resist. Of course, it would also cut into sales of native SL lenses. Personally, I think that Leica would be wise to do it before TechArt steals the show.

Zenith Survey and Safety Equipment (which is not part of the Russian Zenit Camera Co.) is a partner of Leica Geosystems (which is not part of Leica Camera AG)

Could someone have possibly got their wires crossed with this alleged Leica Camera /Zenit Camera partnership?

Could somebody have possibly 'created' the Dr Kaufmann visit photo?
