Hi

I'm constipated buying the Varco Elmar 11/23mm wide angle lens to use on my TL2. When I was using my leica SL the only lenses I used on that camera were my 21mm SEM. Noctilux 0.95 and my 90mm Apple. I really loved my 21mm SEM not only because its a super sharp WA lens but I also liked that 21mm DOF.

 

I ordered the TL2 with the 35mm TL lens and plan to shoot that with the 35, Noctilux and 90mm APO. I wont have anything to put on the TL to satisfly my WA experience so I'm thinking about this 11/23mm lens. I've heard a lot of folks complaining about the AF in low light with the TL zooms but most of those complaining were using them on the original T or TL............so some feedback from the TL2 guys would be real handy

Possibly try a CV15 or 12mm Neil? I've got a CV15 at the moment, and will have a better idea of it's merits once I get home in a couple of weeks. (Hard to determine by viewing the LCD only). Manual focus etc though.

you see..if it is just about using the lens on the T my vote goes for the 11-23. Great lens and very flexible range.
