Forum gallery display – also, exif

It's a long time since I've looked at the gallery.

 

I visited it today and unless I've missed something, the display method seems to me to be very difficult – especially for a forum which is dedicated to photography.

 

There doesn't seem to be any way to "carousel" through the images in any particular photographers collection.

 

You can bring up a filmstrip at the bottom but to view each photograph in some enlarged mode, you have to click on the thumbnail which then produces a very jerking transition and then you have to click on the larger image in order to display a full-size image. Then to see the next image you have to go back again and begin all over.

 

Have I missed something?

 

Also, there is an option in the top right hand corner to display the exif information of any particular image.  it is impossible to select an option which displays exif information at the same time as each new image is displayed.

 

What am I missing here? Or is this really the way it is intended?
