TonyS Posted August 25, 2017 Share #21 Posted August 25, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is there anyone have trouble in deleting pictures? I found the delete menu block the center area of the pictures. For me, I don't think it's a good design. I prefer the delete menu in M9 and M240, it just shows in the corner of the screen. M11 for me Posted August 26, 2017 Share #22 Posted August 26, 2017 Curious that this is an issue with normal Visual RF use... a. Are you using latest firmware? b. What card? c. Have you formatted using SD formatter. With two M10 bodies I have no start up issues - I don't notice a difference between using the M10 and my Canon 5D3. If you're using the EVF all the time, the start up is a fraction slower - but it's nothing special. Hope you can sort it out. My M10 takes a good second (1 ½ s are mentioned here in the forum which seems right to me) is definitely much slower than the 5D Mk 2 or 3 or 4 (they are almost immediate). Still I did not loose a shot with the M10 up to now. Whenever I take the M10 to the eye I have already half pressed the release button. Until I have focused the camera is certainly ready. Yes it is a bit slow but not that this would really matter. Unless you have a strong wide angle and you do not have to focus.
Tailwagger Posted August 27, 2017 Share #23 Posted August 27, 2017 Is there anyone have trouble in deleting pictures? I found the delete menu block the center area of the pictures. For me, I don't think it's a good design. I prefer the delete menu in M9 and M240, it just shows in the corner of the screen. I almost never delete individual photos in camera. I just dont import them or delete the unwanted ones after import. My gripe with the M10 is with the delete all function which I do use. As OSes can leave unwanted files on the SD card which can cause the camera problems, once I've offloaded every thing, I delete all. As much as the 240 was a thumb dance, at least once you get the pattern, it pretty easy. If there really is a need to mark some photos and delete the rest, (which I question given its too easy in such circumstances to think you've marked something and inadvertantly delete it) at least remove the delete unmarked option if there are no marked photos. I suppose I could just reformat every time, but its equally inconvenient to got through the menu system to do that.

I set the format card option in the customizable front page of the menu. Don't recall what I removed to make room for it.
Jared Posted August 28, 2017 Share #25 Posted August 28, 2017 - Would definitely like a faster wake from sleep time. - Would love an electronic level (if the camera is capable) - Would love for it to enable WiFi faster; not like I’m going to miss a shot because of this, but it takes much longer than my SL to get it connected to the phone, and it’s annoying. - Desperately want the ability to turn off long exposure noise reduction; there are situations where I’d rather capture a master dark at the end of my exposures rather than a dark frame after each light. - I’d even take an electronic shutter when in Liveview mode if it were offered. Not critical, but there are times when a silent shutter would be nice.
