adan Posted October 1, 2017 Share #24  Posted October 1, 2017 In the US...  Tamarkin - http://www.tamarkin.com/products/slr  Classic Connection - http://www.classicconnection.com/leica/  Camera West - https://www.camerawest.com  I've dealt personally with the first two for Leica gear in general (and a bit of R) - the third's brick-&-mortar stores certainly seem to be in high-end locales (Palm Springs and Walnut Creek, CA) but I've never needed to use them myself.  Bergan County Camera I know first-hand since it is both near my sister's house in NJ and near Leica USA - Got a primo 400 f/6.8 in R mount there for $199 a couple of years ago. Sometimes their stock is thin and "ordinary", but they do get the occasional gem sometimes, and post a list weekly of what's in stock: https://shop.bergencountycamera.com/files/weeklyusedlist.pdf
masjah Posted October 1, 2017 Share #25  Posted October 1, 2017 The best place is to buy from me! I'm selling a lot of them! hahaha  Why not put them on the Forum's Buy and Sell?
cpclee Posted October 11, 2017 Share #26 Â Posted October 11, 2017 In my experience, by far the largest and most commited R gear dealer is SH Photo (shphoto.de). They sell globally including over eBay. They are very reputable with a enormous stock. In fact, when Leica discontinued the R system, all remaining inventories of bodies and lenses were sold to SH Photo. Probably millions worth. So for years, they were who you would go to for NIB R gear. Â Most other places are more geared towards the M than the R.
farnz Posted October 12, 2017 Share #27 Â Posted October 12, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I don't dispute that SH Photo has impressive stock but in my experience they are very 'enthusiastic' with their pricing and the condition described is generous (I am not a collector) so let the buyer beware. cpclee Posted October 12, 2017 Share #28  Posted October 12, 2017 SH Photo’s prices are probably less consistently accurate than Keh’s, but Keh is better than almost anyone out there in this department. Other than that I haven’t found SH Photo to be consistently higher or lower than they should be, just more variable. The flip side is if you look harder, you can find good value when something is priced lower than it should be.  I don't dispute that SH Photo has impressive stock but in my experience they are very 'enthusiastic' with their pricing and the condition described is generous (I am not a collector) so let the buyer beware. farnz Posted October 12, 2017 Share #29 Â Posted October 12, 2017 I've always found Shouten Select to be scrupulous about their descriptions and with a wide range. Â Pete.
