leica1215 Posted August 18, 2017 Share #1 Â Posted August 18, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Don't understand why is so hard to have lighting company work with Leica to have HSS trigger/ receiver made ? Â For the SL system especially. Â Â Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Advertisement Posted August 18, 2017 Posted August 18, 2017 Hi leica1215, Take a look here HSS on Leica. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ynp Posted August 18, 2017 Share #2 Â Posted August 18, 2017 Maybe the players think that the Leica market is too small? Â It looks like only the Priolite monoblock strobes have a trigger to sync their strobes with Leicas. Even Godox/Broncolor do not support Leica cameras. Einst_Stein Posted August 18, 2017 Share #3 Â Posted August 18, 2017 Leica players tend to play without flash? (Filter, tripod, )
ynp Posted August 18, 2017 Share #4 Â Posted August 18, 2017 Leica players tend to play without flash? (Filter, tripod, )Maybe. But Leica claimed that the SL is a professional system. No pro system of 2017 can exist without a High Sync with the battery strobes. Â If the lighting companies are not interested, Leica should have paid Godox ,etc to develop a trigger for the SL to fill the obvious gap. And charge more for the Red Dot. BTW Godox makes the trigger for Broncolor ...
leica1215 Posted August 18, 2017 Author Share #5 Â Posted August 18, 2017 Thanks interesting, the Godox actually makes the trigger for Broncolor....... I suppose this is not difficult part to make trigger, if other company not interested, then maybe Leica should make both trigger and receiver for SL users right?..... I am not technically savvy, but I know that to get the ability to use the HS, my Broncolor battery light had to get the new HS firmware installed. I don't know if the receiver part is easy. But I am sure that more experienced people have a better understanding how the HS flash works.
