Advertisement Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Hi Lins-Barroso, Take a look here Leica UVa II Filters,... 99.9% Light Transmission!. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Jeff S Posted August 1, 2017 Share #2 Â Posted August 1, 2017 Discussed elsewhere. As Roger notes in the comments, he didn't have access to a 77mm Leica filter for the 70-200, so the Leica filter didn't undergo the full tests, only initial testing for light transmission. You'll note that Leica isn't ranked in the end. Â Jeff
LD_50 Posted August 1, 2017 Share #3 Â Posted August 1, 2017 The article didn't tell me anything about the superior quality of Leica filters. It told me that one filter had better light transmission than some others, by a very small margin. Â The Leica filter wasn't tested as extensively as the others were. fsprow Posted August 3, 2017 Share #4 Â Posted August 3, 2017 I have been extremely impressed with the Breakthrough Photography X4 filters, especially as regards reflections. Â $100 for 77mm UV.
