jaapv Posted July 25, 2017 Share #9 Posted July 25, 2017 To be honest, it does not appeal to me. Maybe through the subjects, they are too bland for this kind of treatment. Even if the photograph is blurred, the content must be sharp.
euston Posted July 26, 2017 Share #10 Posted July 26, 2017 I do this sometimes and the resulting abstracts can be interesting. The more you can vary the colours and textures, the better the result, in my opinion. In the Northern hemisphere at this time of year green tends to dominate the countryside and the variety is lacking. Don't give up on the technique but do try a variety of subjects - urban as well as rural, objects as well wider scenes.

euston Posted July 27, 2017 Share #12 Posted July 27, 2017 I haven’t any examples taken with Leica equipment but I hope no-one will mind if I post this Pentax image for you just to illustrate what I was saying. It’s a Venetian mask exposed for half a second at f/22. I experimented with the amount, direction and speed of camera movement until I got the effect I wanted. Welcome, dear visitor!
