High ISO, TL2 vs SL

Hallo all - apologise if this has been discussed elsewhere (most likely...), but nevertheless: Can anyone comment on high-ish ISO characteristics from TL2 vs SL? For instance how 1600 ISO grain, miscolouring, etc. looks like. I ask since I find the TL2 interesting in it self, but also as a 1.5x 'extender' in the absence of long SL-lenses or SL-extender(s).

stevehuffphoto.com posted an ISO and color comparison (from raw conversions) between TL2, SL and Sony A9 late last week.

He's sometimes over the top (and in some ways is downright odd), but has some good stuff. This test seemed good to me.

It looks to me like the TL2 held it's own in terms of high ISO noise. The last series of crops however, at 6400, showed the sensor size of the TL2 is outgunned by the other 2, both full frame cameras, in IQ .. to be expected for sure. Overall, I have no inferiority complex if sporting a TL2 .. . or even an original T for that matter.

One of the comments after the article made sense though. If the TL2 image was shot at f1.4 and the others at narrower apertures, the TL2 image would have been softer. Regardless of that I think I do see more noise in the TL2 image but I think if the aperture had been more similar, it would have been a sharper image.
