1905 Rolls Royce twin cylinder 10 hp motor car Reg. SU 13 … one of the 4 surviving original Rolls Royce motor cars manufactured in 1905 by Henry Royce in Manchester and sold by Charles Rolls in London. This vehicle is owned by Bentley Motors and maintained by Rolls Royce and Bentley Heritage Dealer P&A Wood. Photographed June 24 2017 at the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club Annual Rally, Burghley House, Stamford in the P&A Wood marquee shortly after its 'lick and polish'.

The man who cleans the brass kindly agreed to place the tin of Brasso on the seat for the photo … but insisted on the protective cloth under the tin.

The oldest of the 4 survivors, RR 10 hp Reg. U 44 sold at auction in 2007 for £3.6 million. I felt quite privileged to be allowed to photograph such a valuable car at close quarters .

Anyone's guess what price an original RR 10 hp might command now?

Best wishes
