SL2 body speculation (now that the SL has seen a price cut)

I have and use the Elmarit-R 19mm f/2.8 v1 and the Super-Elmar-R 15mm f/3.5 regularly with the SL. Both are delightful performers and ergonomically suit the SL perfectly, but the WATE is actually a better performer. The SER15 is one of my favorite lenses on the SL ... but I'm not a landscape shooter most of the time. I use them for other things... :)

The later 19mm v2 and Super-Elmarit-R 15mm f/2.8 are much better performers than my older model R lenses; they are also significantly pricier. For my purposes, I'm content with what I have.

Thank you Ramarren for the informational on the wide R lenses information.

In terms of functionality as a landscape camera, the SL beats the M10 outright for the following critical reason:

Long exposure. Not only does it provide longer 'B' than the M10, more importantly I'm not sure if the M10 has the same problem as the M240 for handling long exposures due to light leakage! Shorter exposures of less than 30s are fine, anything more it becomes a problem (very few talk about this issue but I have encounters withnit when I try to use 10 stop ND filters over it).

Otherwise, a WATE on the M10/M240 as a landscape tool is so much more compact and there is just absolutely no need for AF doing landscape.

I would like to do my own experiment comparing M10 to M240 in terms of light leakage test. If the outcome is negative, I may swing my vote to M10 and learn to live with no more than 2 minutes of 'B' exposure, else the SL will be called upon.
