seven days in Devon and Cornwall

Just returned from a trial run (prior to 14 days walking in the Swiss Alps) with the M8, D-Lux 3 and Epson P3000 viewer/storage device. Lessons learnt being, have the M8 numbering set to continuous (repeating the same numbering sequence day after day makes life a pain on return to the home computer), delete (carefull now) the rubbish after each downloading from the SD card (even using a 4inch screen) and before checking on the en-suite facilities, ask if the room has working power points!

600plus became 400 on file and the best are on the gallery as "seven days........

Conscience, "if that's the best you can do with all that expensive kit, I should go back to the Brownie 127"

I have to say that the above kit plus the 35mm Summicron and 90mm Elmarit covered most eventualities. The D-Lux 3 is excellent in macro mode and the M8 perfect for everything/most else. Notwithstanding the above, the shutter delay on the D-Lux 3 caused me serious grief on the boat shots, should have used the M8 and the 90mm but it's what you have in your hand at the precise moment.

Anyway, what do you think?

He needs to move his crew outboard a bit, himself inboard slightly and ease the main-sheet, just a touch.

As for the photos.... good set, not sure about the crab one, the steamer has brilliant quality, the garden ones are great but roses leave me cold.

Well, you did ask. :D
