jdlaing Posted July 2, 2017 Share #1 Posted July 2, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) To record the aperture settings? pgk suggested this thread so don't blame me. Perhaps the official Leica Notebook replete with Leica stickers? Or the more utilitarian (Andy Barton probably knows what this one is) waterproof Field Book. Don't forget the Mont Blanc pen. PS: I got this Leica Notebook as a gift with something else I probably over paid for so I might as well use it. Welcome, dear visitor! Simon Posted July 2, 2017 Share #2 Posted July 2, 2017 I hope that's an official Leica pen. Only officially branded pens or pencils may be used to record aperture settings from Leica cameras. Something like this will suffice:

pico Posted July 2, 2017 Share #6 Posted July 2, 2017 As our photography preferences settle down usually we use only a two or three apertures and adjust film speeds to accommodate, so it becomes easier to remember. The outliers are apparent for their differences.

Pjay Posted July 3, 2017 Share #8 Posted July 3, 2017 I use and sell my hand made notebooks, both in A5 and A6 size. Inserts are hand stitched from 100 gsm fountain pen friendly paper, but the larger versions also include a Clairefontaine insert. The bigger ones usually sell to people looking to do some journalling as well as note taking. These are inspired by Midori Travelers' Notebooks, copies are often dubbed 'fauxdori' Welcome, dear visitor! Pjay Posted July 3, 2017 Share #10 Posted July 3, 2017 Do you have a web site or online store? Hi Mike, I'm just a keen hobbyist, and mainly sell the notebooks at camera fairs. Don't want to draw the ire of mods by marketing here, but a PM would be welcome. The biggest problem with selling overseas is the cost of postage... pgk Posted July 3, 2017 Share #11 Posted July 3, 2017 pgk suggested this thread so don't blame me. But mine isn't worth showing. Held together my gaffer tape and full of notes that even I have trouble finding and deciphering. The one thing it doesn't contain is any camera settings!
