Ozytripper Posted July 16, 2017 Author Share #164 Posted July 16, 2017 Love the last couple of your posts Ozy. The cyclists are special...how you dodat? OOF with fast tele? cheers Thanks David, Panning shots. Moving the camera in tune the cyclist's speed while shooting. Because they were either entering or exiting a the corner in both photos the riders' speed were different so only one was sharp. Used the 28-35-50mm tri-elmar on 35mm setting
david strachan Posted July 16, 2017 Share #165 Posted July 16, 2017 Thanks Ozy. I find you a breath of fresh air. They could have been taken with a M240, of course, also. Point is I use a few Nikon zooms...works very well, the adapter is minimal. It's about having live view really, for me. All best...
Sam M Posted July 17, 2017 Share #166 Posted July 17, 2017 So here's a crazy idea. Do you need an electronic coupling to the camera body to have an image stabilised lens? Could Leica (or someone else) design a lens with its own battery and image stabilisation but in an m mount? Best of both worlds?
Steve Spencer Posted July 17, 2017 Share #167 Posted July 17, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) So here's a crazy idea. Do you need an electronic coupling to the camera body to have an image stabilised lens? Could Leica (or someone else) design a lens with its own battery and image stabilisation but in an m mount? Best of both worlds? I believe all current lens based IS systems require electronic coupling with the camera body? The IS is activated with a half press of the shutter. Could a different system be developed? I suppose it may be possible, but I doubt very much it is economically feasible to develop such a system for the M mount giving the relatively small market and the preference within that market for Leica lenses. If Leica wanted IS, it would seem to make a lot more sense to add it to the camera.
-ph- Posted July 17, 2017 Share #168 Posted July 17, 2017 I would agree, only sensor-based IS makes sense for a future M. It would work on any lens, especially all M lenses Peter
