Workflow question - Lightroom v C1

I wonder whether Lightroom would simplify my workflow when shooting raw. Currently, I develop in C1 and then edit in CS2. Editing is mostly levels, curves, dust removal, cropping and sharpening. Some pics get a more detailed treatment. I also print from CS2.

 

I wonder whether LR could simplify this workflow, in particular as I don’t find the C1 interface very intuitive, and also don’t like Bridge that much.

 

I wonder what experience other have with using LR, in particular, whether there is a material difference when processing M8 raw shots with LR or C1.

 

I should add that I am an amateur, shooting perhaps 300 pics on average per month (of which not all need serious treatment as many are simple family snaps). Finally, I work on a Windows PC.

For what it's worth; I can't get on with Lightroom. I much prefer Bridge and CS3 . . . .

I guess it's personal preference at the end of the day, oh and that dreaded phrase 'work flow' - now where and when did that first get used?

Thanks for the info, btw I had tried it before I upgraded to CS3 and it did not suit my way of doing things.

George, you are right. I have bought both, Lightroom and CS1/CS2/CS3 but I prefer CS3.

I agree Lightroom is a very atractiv programm but since years I have my one data-system, I am using PageMaker for exact printings and Wings or "Pictures to Exe" to produce my high end slideshows. As to my opinion that`s the better way.
