hitzatak Posted June 21, 2017 Share #1  Posted June 21, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Heya guys,  I'm new to filming at 120fps here and this situation has got me totally perplexed:  I film at 1080p @ 120fps on the SL and when I download the clips to my computer, they become 29.97 slow mo already.  Is this normal?  If so, how do I work on a 24fps timeline in Premiere Pro? Do I just modify and interpret the 29.97 to become 24fps? Is that all there is to it? Will there be any choppiness?  What gives though? How come it doesn't show up as 120fps when I import? Strange. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Irakly Shanidze Posted June 23, 2017 Share #2 Â Posted June 23, 2017 Yes this is normal. With 120 fps footage you should have no problem choosing any frame rate of your timeline. In fact, Premiere will be grateful for the frame rate, which is a factor of 6 way more than for the NTSC's 29.97 requiring some clever recalculations. Â I am not super familiar with Premiere, as my weapons of choice are DaVinci Resolve Studio and FPX. JeTexas Posted June 23, 2017 Share #4 Â Posted June 23, 2017 In Premiere you need to adjust your sequence settings to 1920 x 1080 120fps. Then when you pull the video into the timeline it will play normal speed. Â If you want 24 fps at normal speed, just set that as your frame rate when you export.
