robgo2 Posted June 20, 2017 Share #21 Posted June 20, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I never use the clarity slider, neither in Lightroom nor in Capture One, I don't even think about it. I have always felt that Clarity in LR/ACR is weak and poorly implemented. C1's is much better and can enhance images when used judiciously.

Sandbites Posted June 21, 2017 Author Share #23 Posted June 21, 2017 Thank you everyone for the replies and encouragement, i agree that as they are my pic then I can edit them however i want to, specially since i take them for myself and not for business or for reportage. Every time i post-edit my raw pictures I fight the urge to excessively use Clarity, Vibrance and Saturation. I guess i just have to fight the urge some more. Bart van Hofwegen Posted June 21, 2017 Share #24 Posted June 21, 2017 If you crank up saturation and contrast and look at that for a minute or so, you get used to it. So much so that dialing down those things can make the picture look "dull" in comparison. A good advice Dan Margulis once wrote was to back off, do not look at the picture for a while and then come back to it at a later moment. You may be surprised how "over the top" it may then look, and that is the moment to dial down.
