SL with R lenses Lightroom help

I know there is something I am doing wrong here, and there must be a simple answer, but I am stuck, so here we go...

I shoot on a pair of SLs and it seems that when I use the Leica SL-R adapter, the lens corrections in Lightroom apply no problem. Great.

Then when I use the Leica SL-M, M-R stacked, I don't seem to get the same info to transmit. Is it supposed to?

Even more odd is that when I load my DNG files in Lightroom and manually select, for example, Leica R 21-35mm, then select the focal length of the shot, nothing happens. No corrections are applied. Isn't this supposed to work manually as well?

Interestingly enough, other profiles from Nikon and other manufacturers will apply changes to the raw file, but any Leica R profiles simply give no response to the distortion or vignetting...

If you are using a ROM lens, the R Adapter SL automatically transmits the lens info to the SL body, including focal length in use, and applies a lens profile to the lens automatically if you have the SL set to do that.

Non-ROM lenses used on the R Adapter SL and any R lens used on the stacked adapter set (R Adapter M on M Adapter L) require that you manually set the lens profile when you mount the lens on the SL to get the SL's lens corrections embedded into the file, and the SL has no way to determine what focal length you're actually using.

I don't know what effect using the Lightroom lens corrections ought to have. I use my R lenses (all three-cam) and set the lens profile in the SL, so those corrections are embedded in the DNG files and applied automatically.

I use the R-Adapter-M and M-Adapter-T on my SL when shooting with the R 21-35mm.   Using Lightroom 6.10.1 I can see changes applied (vignetting and distortion) when I manually select LR's profile for the R 21-35mm and subsequently one of the specific focal length corrections (21, 24, 28, 31, 35).

The applied changes appear on .dng files imported either with no preset or with the Leica embedded preset.  In fact, I can see changes when I apply them to any .dng file shot with any lens.

Sounds as though maybe something is amiss with your copy of LR.

I've had some weird experiences with stacking a Novoflex Minolta MD/Leica M adapter on the M to T adapter. My footage had a lot of hick-up frames, as if the camera was shutting down for just a few milliseconds. After I bought just one adapter to mount Minolta MD glass on the SL, I got rid of the problem. Stacking can be tricky.

Did you use the same SD card in both instances? It sounds more like you had the camera skipping frames doe to the card low write speed.
