I have been dissatisfied with my post processing results and decided to go back to LR and that means the CC subscription model.   I was using RAW POWER on my macbook pro but the results are not 'special'.  My thought process is if Leica has chosen to bundle the program with the camera it should work seemlessly and give he best results.

Aside from the original 90 day trial i have never given LR a serious look. . .that poses a problem for me.

when i google LR tutorials and 'presets' my eyes glaze over with the sheer volume of 'hits'.

where should i start . . .

In the LR development module, start at the top (just below the crop, spot, etc toolbar) and work down, then go back to the top and do cropping, rotating, spot removal as necessary. When adjusting the sliders, move them until you see the improvement you want, then move them slightly back.

There are some handy, brief YouTubes called Lightroom coffee break, or something like that which explain one thing very quickly; these should get you up to speed on the user interface.

I suggest you look at this site http://www.jkost.com/lightroom.html

Track down to the first module dealing with an overview of Lightroom CC. Pause and try for yourself. Resume. Replay until you are comfortable with the routine; then move on to the next appropriate module of interest to you.

Be aware, investment in time mastering LR will make you a far happier and more competent photographer. It is not an instant process initially.
