dseelig Posted June 21, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted June 21, 2007 Hi Gustavio I had the previous version it was a nice monitor however I just got a lacie 19" for $132. including shipping from the lacie website . this is a much nicer monitor. It was in there clearence section. I would look out for one of those. CRT monitors go cheap these days if he wants more then 75 bucks I would pass, and wait

Should I buy it for photo editing"  Well, I´m sitting in front of one of these right now.... I has been my workhorse for almost 5 years, if I remember right, and it still has lots to give. Built-in calibration (not closed-loop, but still accurate enough that I seldom get my Eye-One out). When/if it´s time to replace it, I´ll probably get the then current Apple 23" LCD, but I´m in no hurry...  That said, if you plan to buy one second-hand, there´s always the risk that it has seen very heavy use, and might get dim and difficult to calibrate rather soon. Also, the market value for them is surprisingly low (as with all CRT´s except possibly the very top models), so don´t pay too much.
