Curious insect

When I go to my office - a former Buddhist chapel at the end of the garden - I always have my Leica at hand, because I pass next to a flower-bed where insects are to be observed...and photographed. This afternoon, I aimed at a "normal" bee, when my attention was attracted by a "red dot" a few centimeters away. How to resist to a red dot? I "burned" one more image and propose same to the vast knowledge of the Forum community : what the hell is it?

Three images follow : the one I first took of the bee, then an enlargement of same showing the "red dot", and finally the "thing" that changes color when seen from a different angle. The size of this "thing" does not exceed seven millimeters.

Any erudite comment will be most welcome.

We can thank my mate for that one. :)

And you can tell your mate - after my Google consult - that the Latin-scientific name is "Graphosoma lineatum", and that the name "Italian striped-bug" is sometimes used in English. In French - my original language - it is "Punaise arlequin", and that's the one I used to caption my photo. Thanks again
