Finally got my new WATE today. Ordered in Dec as part of the 30% discount offer. Had to get Andrea at Solms, and Shirley and Latika at Leica US involved but it has arrived at home (my wife called to tell me). We leave for Europe tomorrow and all the above parties pitched in to make sure I got it in time. Long wait but but should be worth it.

Andrea in Solms and Shirley in the U.S. likewise were both very helpful to me in a similar 30% delivert situation a month ago. I know people her have talked about imperfections in customer service, but I can only compliment those two --and really believe that there are Leica staff members who really care about the end-user' s experience and who do "try harder". Kudos to them.

Michael, I am sure you are right, if you treat people with respect I know for sure some people still take great pride in there work and will do everything that is humanly posible to be helpfult and that surely goes for the Leica staff.

I agree with you all.

Whenever I was in contact with Leica-people at Solms, they were friendly and helpful. When I got my Noctilux a few days ago (the 30% one ordered in december) I was charged with the new and much higher price. I phoned them up and it took about 30 minutes to get confirmation, that of course I shall pay only the "old" price.
