stuny Posted June 20, 2007 Share #2 Â Posted June 20, 2007 American humorist (and Harvard math instructor) Tom Lehrer wrote a song about the Boy Scouts, in which he admonishes the boys not to write dirty words on walls if you can't spell.

Artichoke Posted June 21, 2007 Share #4 Â Posted June 21, 2007 more over there than here my visit to NYC last week was remarkable for the town having much less graffiti than I ever remember ...maybe the weakness of the dollar has caused all the graffiti artists to emigrate good to see Tom Lehrer quoted on LUF ...he wrote many classics, with his "Lobachevsky" & "the Old Dope Peddler" being favorites of mine, along with "Be Prepared," the ditty cited by Stuart here is a link to an animated patter song of his Tom Lehrer's "The Elements". A Flash animation by Mike Stanfill, Private Hand he teaches at U Cal Santa Cruz and has since the early '70's ...according to Wikipedia he teaches a class he dubbed "Math for Tenors" for undergraduates he was a graduate student at Harvard & taught classes in that capacity there as well as Wellesley & MIT ...I was surprised to learn that he served in the National Security Agency fun photo, btw even without the S the message comes across for us Anglophones

dany5 Posted June 22, 2007 Author Share #7 Â Posted June 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) thanks, I found it amusing as people seemed to pass in front of this wall without a glance at the insult. Â Something so big and provoking was remarkably unnoticed.
