Photosantucci Posted March 25, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 25, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, I'm a very happy owner of M10. Just one question: maybe it's just a characteristic of the M10 but on the Q, when I set on the menu that the camera should never go under (example) 1/250 and I shoot in low light conditions the image resulting is quite black. On the opposite, on the M10, if I set the minimum shutter speed at 1/250 in the same menu and there is no sufficient light, the camera prefer to shoot at (example) 1/6 to give me a non black image. But I have a shakes images. Everyone noted that? Thank you.

paulsydaus Posted March 29, 2017 Share #4 Posted March 29, 2017 That is I believe correct behaviour when you have the shutter dial set to A. The camera will always try to get a correct exposure when the shutter is set to A. The number of 1/250 in the menu is the value the camera goes to before raising ISO, then it raises ISO to max, and if there is still not enough light, will drop shutter speed further. It is an awesome solution. If you want to force the use of 1/250, rotate the shutter dial off A to the required manual limit. I recommend shooting this way in most situations.
