harold112 Posted March 19, 2017 Share #1  Posted March 19, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hey there ! I got a question for all dlux 109 users.  Could you give me some tips for night photography ? I got some problems with focusing on a subject, I think it is sharp but when I look on the pc it's unsharp and out of focus. And on what kind things I should keep in mind to do night photography about stars and other subjects ?  Thank you in advance !  Harold Oosterveer

harold112 Posted March 20, 2017 Author Share #4 Â Posted March 20, 2017 Thanks for those tips, I already use a tripod and focus manually. I have got some problems with focusing in the night, it's difficult to see if it is sharp or not. Is there a trick for or a easy to check that ? KristyPopArt Posted December 3, 2017 Share #5 Â Posted December 3, 2017 I'm new to the 109 and manual anything on a camera. I'm guessing you found your answer already but in case you haven't... Â Have you used MF Assist? This enlarges the display to help you see whether the image is in focus or not. When in any mode other than Snapshot, you need to set this option. Should be on screen 4 of the custom menu. Hope this helps. And please share one of your shots here. I'd love to see what you got.
pico Posted December 3, 2017 Share #6 Â Posted December 3, 2017 Use a tripod. Â Some auto-focus cameras have difficulty on a tripod - the camera 'hunts' for focus, looking for something to do. So, manual focus (auto off) might help.
wda Posted December 3, 2017 Share #7 Â Posted December 3, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Welcome Harold. You mention stars. Just set your camera on infinity. Many night landscapes can also be treated as infinity subjects. What other subjects do you tackle at night?
