ChopsPhoto Posted March 16, 2017 Share #1  Posted March 16, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) So long story short, about a month and a half ago I decided to pick up a CL body and a cheap Jupiter lens as my everyday film camera/first M mount. First few rolls were great and really fell in love with the camera. Went to load another roll into it yesterday and I noticed that my film take up spool is cracked at the base.  Now I read through pages of topics here, and I didn't see anything recent (or even CL users) on here but I was curious if anyone has experienced this or knows of some solutions. I've contacted DAG about a replacement part but i am hesitant to actually send the camera out if I don't have to, so if there are any other work around options, or DIY fixes, that would be ideal for me so I'm all ears  Thanks! gbealnz Posted March 16, 2017 Share #2 Â Posted March 16, 2017 Short of replacing it, is it plastic? Can you simply glue, carefully, the crack? Gary
TomB_tx Posted March 16, 2017 Share #3 Â Posted March 16, 2017 I doubt if glue is a good idea. I never had this problem with my CL, but when DAG was servicing my Leicaflex SL he reported the same problem with the take-up spool in it. He replaced it for a modest fee.
