LeicaR10 Posted March 17, 2017 Share #21 Â Posted March 17, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) To LeicaUser7 Â I had a terrible experience with Leica Repair NJ. Â I sent a M lens in for a simple CLA in May 2016. Â I didn't get back until December 2016. Â When I did get it back, it was leaking oil and focus ring was binding. Â I was talked into returning it by the store for a redo in January 2017 and it took high level intervention to get it back just two weeks ago. Â Now, I am sending it to DAG to fix that redo. Â I regret not doing this to start. Â I have used DAG before and all repairs came back perfect, in short order and done for what I consider very reasonable cost. Â I will NEVER send any repairs to NJ, either they go to DAG or Germany directly. Â

ldhrads Posted March 17, 2017 Share #22 Â Posted March 17, 2017 I have sent four lenses to Leica NJ including a 75 lux which was six bitted and calibrated. Â All work was done timely and with good outcomes.

Chuck Albertson Posted March 17, 2017 Share #24 Â Posted March 17, 2017 I sent a 90AA for calibration last year, and it was back in 2 months. The lens was several years old, I bought it used, and it's been on lots of planes. The cost was around $300, but that included repair of the diaphragm, so I can't really break out the cost of calibration. It works much better now - it can be tough to nail the focus with that lens, especially at near distance.
